Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound
Grand Hyatt Nashville
Nashville, TN
October 10 – 12, 2025

From the SRU President and Program Chair

As President and Program Committee Chair of the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound, we would like to invite you to join us at the 35th Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course of the SRU, to be held October 10 – 12, at the Grand Hyatt Nashville. Our Program Committee has created an outstanding roster of speakers with a wide variety of ultrasound topics. Our two- and-a-half-day program is filled with opportunities for networking, learning, and fun social events. We are excited to announce increased educational offerings for our sonographer and scientist members with a robust group of scientific sessions. Dedicated subspeciality didactic sessions will be available related to Vascular, GYN, OB, MSK, Gl, GU, Head & Neck, and Pediatrics.

Teaching on contrast-enhanced ultrasound will be integrated throughout the course, and there will be a dedicated CEUS session in collaboration with ICUS on Sunday. A dynamic rapid-fire case review and a session dedicated to advanced practice sonographers will round out the program, as well as the return of Sonopardy. Join us at #SRU25 and learn from world experts on the practice and techniques of ultrasound. The Grand Hyatt is located in downtown Nashville with walkable access to the restaurants and nightlife on Broadway Street, and several social events are in the works including a fun gathering with SABI at the end of the meeting as their meeting commences.

Looking forward to meeting or seeing you at SRU 2025!

Physicians: Educational Symposia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Educational Symposia designates this live activity for a maximum of 17.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Sonographers: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). The ARDMS accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.

About This Activity

This activity is intended to provide cutting edge teaching and case-based learning on a wide range of Ultrasound topics relevant to both general and subspecialty practices. World class faculty with a commitment to the practice and growth of high-quality Ultrasound in radiology will cover both fundamental and advanced techniques. Learners will benefit from practical teaching resulting in increased confidence in exam interpretation and professional growth that may immediately be applied to their individual practice. Dedicated subspeciality sessions in the following areas will be available: Gynecology, Obstetrics, Vascular, Head & Neck, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, Pediatrics, Musculoskeletal, and Interventional. A dedicated session on the role and opportunities for Advanced Practice Sonographers will also be included. Additionally, a cutting-edge plenary session, a dynamic rapid-fire case review session, scientific sessions, and an optional half-day session dedicated to contrast-enhanced ultrasound from the International Contrast Ultrasound Society will be available.

Target Audience

This CME activity is designed to educate radiologists, radiology fellows, radiology residents, scientists engaged in the advancement of ultrasound, and sonographers. It should also be of benefit to those physicians who order sonographic studies.

Educational Objectives

  • Learn emerging ultrasound techniques and updates to reporting systems related to ultrasound

  • Review the approach to ultrasound in targeted patient populations including transplant recipients, pediatrics, oncology, gynecology, obstetrics, and orthopedics.

  • Discuss uses of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures.

  • Review sonographic pitfalls and strategies for improvement.

  • Collaborate with and review the roles of other team members including clinicians, sonographers, scientists, and administration in the practice of ultrasound.

No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.
