Letter From the SRU President and Program Chair
As President and Program Committee Chair of the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound, we would like to invite you to join us at the 34th Annual Meeting and Postgraduate Course of the SRU, to be held September 27-29, at the Hyatt Regency Seattle, Seattle, WA.
Our Program Committee has created an outstanding roster of speakers with a wide variety of Ultrasound topics. Our two-and-a-half-day program is filled with opportunities for networking and learning. We are excited to announce this as the first year the SRU opened its membership to Sonographers and Scientists and the content of the meeting will reflect this change. Dedicated subspeciality sessions in the following areas will be available: Head & Neck, GYN, OB, Vascular, MSK, GI, GU, and Pediatrics. Teaching on contrast-enhanced ultrasound will be integrated throughout the course. Additionally, a forward-looking plenary session, a dynamic rapid-fire case review session, a scientific session, and a session dedicated to challenging and enriching non-interpretive topics will round out the program. Join us at #SRU24 and listen to the world experts on routine and advanced ultrasound topics.
The Hyatt Regency Seattle is located in downtown Seattle with walkable access to world class restaurants and tourism sites, including the original Starbucks and the famous Pike Place Market.
Looking forward to meeting or seeing you at SRU 2024!

Course Description
About This Activity
This activity is structured to provide cutting edge teaching and case-based learning on a wide range of topics encountered in most Ultrasound practices. It addresses both fundamental and advanced techniques, including practical tips on image optimization and interpretation as well as guidance on how to integrate advanced applications such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound and elastography and updated ultrasound reporting systems into your practice. Dedicated subspeciality sessions in the following areas will be available: Head & Neck, GYN, OB, Vascular, MSK, GI, GU, and Pediatrics. Additionally, a forward-looking plenary session, a dynamic rapid-fire case review session, a scientific session, and a session dedicated to challenging and enriching non-interpretive topics will round out the program.
Target Audience
This CME activity is designed to educate radiologists, radiology fellows, radiology residents, scientists engaged in the advancement of ultrasound, and sonographers. It should also be of benefit to those physicians who order sonographic studies.
Educational Objectives
- Learn emerging ultrasound techniques and updates to reporting systems related to ultrasound
- Review emergent ultrasound findings throughout the body.
- Review the approach to ultrasound in targeted patient populations including transplant recipients, pediatrics, oncology, gynecology, obstetrics, and orthopedics.
- Discuss uses of contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Review sonographic pitfalls and strategies for improvement.
- Enhance non-interpretive skills within your ultrasound practice and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with and review the roles of other team members including clinicians, sonographers, scientists, and administration in the practice of ultrasound.
